Join Alicia at her home studio in Amherst for a 2 hour mini session to try your hand at throwing! Book for yourself, or for a gift! Alicia will give demonstrations, then provide hands on instruction while you make your first ever pieces on the wheel. Alicia will then continue to care for your pieces while they make their way through the kiln, and once they are fired, you will come back to glaze/paint them.
All materials are provided, all you have to do is show up! Alicia's studio can accommodate up to two students at once if you wish to learn alongside a friend. This is not a specifically scheduled workshop. Once you purchase your session Alicia will reach out to schedule your session with you. Your session should be completed in January/February of 2024.
Please note that students will be making basic items. Mugs will not be made, as they require the addition of handles the following day, and are too advanced for a beginner. We will focus on smaller pieces such as ring dishes, soap dishes, small bowls, etc.
